Having lived here in Beijing for over 6 years, my only regret so far is that I should have moved here earlier. Beijing has been progressing at a breakneck pace over the last decade. As an expatriate there is no shortage of remarkable restaurants, hospitals, international schools to choose from. I have no qualms in saying that Beijing is one of the safest cities in the world, offering a vibrant night life and a plethora of entertainment options.
 
In my opinion, it's the best time to invest in property, the government has recently expedited the visa process for foreigners while offering incentives to highly desired talent in Beijing. With the rapid expansion of Beijing, seen first-hand with the CBD move to Tongzhou district recently, it's safe to assume that the property market will remain lucrative. A healthy and diverse expatriate population will help keep us rooted here in Beijing for a long long time to come.
